A
particular blend of academic spirit and engineering approach
1. Dr. Norman Lawgun:
Dr Lawgun has twenty years experience in water hammer
and hydraulic analysis of pumps and pipelines, and has been engaged by
most major consulting firms in New Zealand, Phillipines, Australia & Kenya, to name a few. The projects which he has worked on include pumping
operations in single pipelines and complex networks, hydro-electric turbine
operations and pumping applications in geothermal fields all over the
world. In addition to these he has also participated in educational projects
such as Water Hammer Workshops to consulting engineers in 1984 and 2000
and carried out specialised water hammer training programs to consulting
companies.
Dr Lawgun also has extensive experience in software
development. He has developed a Windows computer program, HYTRAN (HYdraulic
TRANsients), to analyse water hammer in pipelines involving pump and turbine
installations with an intuitive graphical interface to set up simulation
models.
2. Senior Hydraulic Eng O.Seifeddine:
Engineer Seifeddine has more than 20 years of extensive technical & commercial experience in the field of piping systems and related components besides a good knowledge and overview of the water supply market in the Middle East
Engineer Seifeddine was a part-time lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering in University of Beirut where he has lectured Fluid Mechanics & Hydraulic Engineering.
Since 2001 he has been assisting in developing and testing algorithms for the Hytran Water Hammer Package .In 2002, the regional engineering office was formed to provide specialized water hammer consulting services to Civil Engineering contractors & Consulting companies in Lebanon and neighboring countries in the Middle East .
